Barry Eaton is a former Welsh international rugby league player who is currently assistant coach at Crusaders. He was a Scrum-half/Halfback.[1]
Barry Eaton played in all but three of Widnes Vikings' 28 matches in their first season in Super League. He joined Northern Ford Premiership club Batley Bulldogs in October 2002.
Barry Eaton played and scored in every first team game in season 2002–03 (35 games) and season 2004 (30 games). Barry Eaton established a new world record by landing 38 consecutive successful goal kicks between 29 June 2003 and 24 August 2003.
He also played for the Dewsbury Rams, and in 2000 had a loan spell with Castleford Tigers.
He moved to Keighley Cougars as player-coach. He retired from playing and was given full control of the club by Peter Roe in 2007, although he continued to make sporadic on-field appearances during that season. After leading the Cougars to promotion, he was unable to keep them in the Co-operative Championship and subsequently moved to Crusaders to become assistant to Iestyn Harris in 2011.
Barry Eaton won caps for Wales while at Dewsbury Rams 1999…2001 1-cap + 4-caps (sub).[2]
